Homebuyers’ Tree Reports

Tree reports are sometimes requested by insurers or mortgage lenders, because trees can pose a risk to buildings (indirectly due to subsidence and directly due to falling limbs / failures).

These reports provide the following information on all significant trees and shrubs within or close to the subject property (sometimes within a certain distance given by the insurer / lender).

  • Physiological and structural condition
  • Expected mature size
  • Vigour, water demand and distance from property
  • Clear tree work recommendations with timescales
  • Re-inspection guidelines

Additionally, we'll also look out for Japanese Knotweed, unsuitably located self-seeded trees and any other issues we think you’d like to be made aware of.

We will not recommend any unnecessary tree works. However, if issues are noted, the report can sometimes be used to negotiate with vendors
